It is scarcely believed that the omnipotence of God is in the Lord,

because He will appear as vile, and therefore to be despised;

and He appeared as if the Divine were not in Him,

and yet through it is salvation.

Through the passion of the cross a new church will come into existence;

and because He bore such things He will go forth a victor.
