Those who trust in their own learning from self-intelligence, and not in the Lord,

are against Him; wherefore they have evil.

They have no understanding of truth, but will fall into falsities.

They are to be destroyed at the time of judgment.

5, 6:
The Lord will then protect those in whom is the church from Him.

Then they will reject falsities and evils.

8, 9:
Those who trust in themselves will perish.

There will be good from the Lord in the new church.
